PRESS RELEASE
MORE GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE AGENCIES ENCOURAGED TO OFFER ADDITIONAL SERVICES THROUGH THE KIOSK SENTUHAN MADANI
PETALING JAYA, 8 May 2025 – More government and private agencies have been encouraged to explore the potential of offering additional services through the Kiosk Sentuhan MADANI.
According to the Minister of Digital, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, this matter deserves attention given that the kiosks involved in the Kiosk Sentuhan MADANI initiative — such as those operated by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), Pos Malaysia, and TM Unifi — have the capability to integrate third-party agency services into their operating systems.
Speaking at the launch ceremony of the third Kiosk Sentuhan MADANI at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Gobind stated that there are now more than 100 services provided by both government and private agencies accessible through the kiosks, covering official document applications, account openings, and bill payments.
"Since its introduction last January, the Kiosk Sentuhan MADANI has also received strong interest from agencies wishing to participate in this government initiative. At KL Sentral, the first ASNB kiosk was introduced, while at 1 Utama, TM Unifi participated for the first time, thereby expanding the range of services available to the public," said Gobind.
Also present at the launch ceremony was YBhg. Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Chief Secretary to the Government. The Kiosk Sentuhan MADANI is one of the initiatives under Budget 2025 aimed at enhancing public access to government services with extended operating hours. As an initiative under the Framework of the Public Service Reform Agenda 2024–2030 inspired by Tan Sri Shamsul, the Kiosk Sentuhan MADANI enhances service delivery and addresses the current needs of the people through digital adoption and a whole-of-nation approach.
Among the enhancements introduced at the Kiosk Sentuhan MADANI are:
a. Expanding the range of services, including zakat payments and top-ups;
b. Introducing additional payment methods, such as debit card transactions; and
c. Ensuring transactions can still be completed even during system disruptions.
The first kiosk was launched by YAB Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim on 9 January 2025 at Alamanda, Putrajaya, while the second kiosk was launched on 13 March 2025 at KL Sentral Station. Starting today, visitors can now access services at the Kiosk Sentuhan MADANI located at 1 Utama, which operates daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
"Since its launch last January, the Kiosk Sentuhan MADANI at Alamanda has recorded a user growth of over 40%, increasing from 4,600 users in January to 6,600 users in March. At KL Sentral, the kiosk 5,000 users in its first month of operation. This is clear evidence of the effectiveness of this kiosk initiative," said YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo.
This also reflects that the initiative truly adds value for the people by providing easier, more efficient, and user-friendly access to government services.
"The MADANI Government is also committed to expanding the Kiosk Sentuhan MADANI initiative nationwide. This commitment is aligned with the principles of Malaysia MADANI, particularly in enhancing the well-being of the people through innovation and sustainable services," YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo added.
